Engineering Agreement

The Engineer will probably ask you to give him a copy of an Engineering Agreement to mark up. He will mark it up and give you this copy back so that you can make the changes that are needed. Find the Engineering Agreement on the computer that has been marked up and make all changes that are needed. (Always make sure that you "search for and replace with" every place that says "Town/City of __ " and make the necessary changes.) Save the corrections as the new job.

Run a copy of the corrected Engineering Agreement and give it, along with the marked up copy to the Engineer to check over.

After he has given the "OK" on it, put the Engineer's Seal on the signature (front) page and have him sign that page. Find out how many copies we need. (We usually make four (4) copies of the Engineering Agreement. Five (5) copies if there's an Administrator.

Make the copies. Flag the signature page on each of the Agreements for execution by the Mayor and Clerk.

When the Engineering Agreement comes back and has been fully executed, date them (where dates are needed varies with the type of agreement) and distribute them.

Do a letter of distribution to the Mayor and file it in the Town File. SEE FORM LETTER SECTION

Distribute the Engineering Agreements as follows:

  • 1 copy to The Town/City
  • 3 copies for Us
    • 1 in the Town File
    • 1 in the Contract/Engineering Agreement Drawer
    • 1 copy to Marietta to put in the billing file
  • 1 copy to the Administrator (if applicable)
